“That’s a good question. I left in early 2018. I think fundamentally, there were certain things that I wanted to do, and we decided to go our separate ways. Fundamentally, I was interested in building a business that wasn’t involved in managing money. I worked as a quant portfolio manager for a long period of time. That’s focused on generating PnL and generating returns for people — a similar mentality of Polychain. I think at my core, I was excited about doing something more entrepreneurial where I could build a tangible business that wasn’t just seeking out returns.”
