“One of my friends is Rich Karlgaard who's the publisher of Forbes. He came up with an idea of a website on how to make a business in New York, San Francisco, Munich, Bogotá, and Tokyo. So, we were going to do this series of websites, all these cities of how to do business in each city. Then we met with a lawyer named Craig Johnson, and he had a different take on the idea. His idea was "Focus on just the fundraising for those cities." That became garage.com, helping entrepreneurs in specific locations raise money.”
