“My dad is retired now, but he was teaching science, biology, physics, and chemistry for middle school students. Probably that had played a role. Also, when I was in high school, I loved math and physics. These two were my first two subject areas that I had the most interest in. I didn't know a lot about biology and chemistry. I was doing okay, but not at the top. That got me to the math and physics. Math is one of the areas that gives you a different perspective around the way that the world works. Physics is a mathematical model of the world that we live in.”
