“I don't know if this is where you want to take it, but my mom doesn't believe in kid's tables at dinner. She always thought that we should participate in the conversation that the adults wanted to have. Often, that would be about their work, so we would be there, we would listen, and maybe we'd ask questions. Sometimes, obviously, you'd be bored and want to get out of there too, but they had the view that it was something we should all participate in. I heard about all sorts of stuff, probably more than I even remember explicitly.”
