“Born and raised on a ranch in Southern Arizona about 15 miles north of the Mexican border. I grew up in a ranching family and a restaurant family. My parents bought our first restaurant when I was a month old. I started working in the restaurant when I was eight. I begged my parents to let me work. Hindsight was a huge mistake because once they realized they had cheap labor, they took full advantage of it. But yeah, I grew up working all the way — it was my spending cash in college, and I worked all the way till I left Arizona after college.”
