“This was probably spring 2014. I was towards the end of my two years at this firm. I had thought about the idea of maintaining an income and doing this nights and weekends. I realized "I'm all in" on one thing. As people in my personal life might tell you, it's hard for me to do a lot of things really well. "I'm just going to go in on this thing." I realized I had to quit my job, and that's when I truly committed. I would say mentally, I committed in the spring, and then I voted with my feet that summer and moved to Austin. I needed to get back to Texas, and I picked Austin as the place to start the brand. I was committed.”
