“Some of it was a bit of craziness, I guess. Some of it was just this level of fierce independence we wanted to have that "I think we can pull this off" because what we did during the day was highly marketable. I was able to sell my services and sell my time. Then that gave me the funding I needed to do what I wanted to do. Not funding for everything, but it was an atypical path. But there was fun in that challenge as well.”
