“As you can imagine, in India, at least in the days that I grew up, you had to basically take either engineering or being an engineer or doctor. Otherwise, you’re a social outcast. Things are much better now, and with my dad being a chemical engineer, obviously, engineering was the path that I gravitated toward. The other aspect of living in a large population that is very technically adept is the competition. The early things that shaped me for the journey that I’m on today are, essentially, a lot of competition, understanding that the world is a global market, and everything followed after that.”
