“I, originally, thought I was going to be a journalist. When I was in high school and college, I wrote a lot and was the editor of the school newspaper and loved learning other people's stories and framing them. But towards the middle to the end of college, I realized I also cared a lot about supporting myself and started to think about how could I actually do that? I started looking at business jobs and realized that going into consulting would be an interesting way to exercise the same muscles as journalism, where I was observing and framing up stories and making decisions based on that. So that's what I did.”
