“It definitely wasn’t my first thought. At first, I considered working at a company and getting them to develop the idea. I remember talking to a friend who was an entrepreneur, and he told me not to do that. He said established companies have too much inertia. If you bring an idea into one, they likely won’t do anything with it because they already have their own agendas. That ended up being really sound advice. He said, “If you want to make this happen in the world, you kind of have to do it yourself.” I’m really grateful for that friend.”
