“First, you fund it yourself. That’s what I did — a lot of bootstrapping, financing it yourself, going about the first lab site, the first product shipment. But also look at early-stage programs that I could learn from. One of those programs I found was Seedcamp. I saw it and thought, “This is great.” I went to London to visit one of their initial demos and how they go about it, and then I applied. You apply with the video, and they said, “Come to our Berlin event,” which was in May 2015, and we were one of the first startups to be accepted. They invested the first 25,000 euros just a few months after the founding date.”
