“It probably started with my mom being a physician, but originally, I said, "I'm not going to do medicine because that's what my mom did." It really started when I had a sports injury from playing basketball and went to the hospital, and I saw how they cared for me. I liked that. Then, when I was in the army, I was an officer of the Reserves, so I cared for people. I liked that as well, so I felt that the hospital thing was quite cool. I like caring for people, and so I decided, "I'll study medicine."”
