“I didn’t really have a plan. I studied biology, biochemistry, and genetics. I decided I didn’t want to be a researcher and work in the lab. I felt like I wanted to see the world. I was curious about business. I didn’t know what it really meant. But coming from a small country in the ‘90s to the U.S., New York was a big change. I didn’t have a plan. I just knew what I was interested in and what I liked, and I hoped somehow these things would fit in together. So I came in by chance and ended up spending probably 18 out of the last 25 years here, but I also went back twice to Israel. I lived in London for three years. So I was moving around.”
