“I always think that I can work for other people, and I really think that I can. Maybe that’s not true, though, right? I had always thought about starting my own company. After working several years in the insurance business, there was no particular reason; it was not especially interesting. It was relatively boring. I was in my 20s. I wanted to do something interesting. Insurance isn’t especially interesting. So I decided, not knowing any better. What I did was I went home one day and asked my wife if I could sell the house. She said, “Sure.” We did, and we started the business.”
