“The founder of that company is a guy named Rick Adam. I think the greatest thing I learned was the will to achieve. There was no obstacle too big that couldn’t be overcome if you just thought it through and had the will to work through it. We had competition. We had fits and starts with software. We had plenty of competitors. There was always a reason to fail, and we always pushed on through. That was probably the greatest lesson I learned at that time was that there was always a way forward if you just had the will to do so.”
