“The technology guys that worked with Rick that were the brains behind the underlying infrastructure started a new company to advance the technology and take it forward. They were floundering a little in the marketplace and needed somebody who understood the technology to sell it. I joined them in the early 2000s and helped them create a market for the next generation of the software. As a result of that, we were able to find a buyer, the TriZetto Corporation, which is how I got introduced to the health plans.”
