“My dad was an older guy. He was in WWII. He was actually at Pearl Harbor the morning they were attacked, so I got a front-row seat on watching how the greatest generation performed, behaved, and treated people with respect. He was a really good dude. He was a good man, and he taught a lot of life lessons. Although it’s traumatic for any young person to lose a parent, it had a profound effect on me; I suppose positive and negative. But I’m not the only one that’s been through tragedies. I try to look at it as the glass half-full.”
