“I think the lessons are the same. Those were both sales positions. I learned that it’s better to listen more than talk, and don’t sell what you have. Try to find out what somebody needs. I think those two scenarios allowed me to grow quickly in terms of being a revenue producer or a salesperson. I had no intention of being a manager or growing or doing anything like that. I was just trying to make a living, but I would say the lessons to learn are to study, to be fearless, be respectful, to work hard, which enabled me to start to develop a really strong sales career.”
