Michael Ehlers serves as CEO of Limelight Bio, a biopharmaceutical company established in 2017. Limelight Bio is focused on developing novel gene therapies to overcome limitations of current gene therapy and gene editing approaches for various inherited diseases, including severe retinal, hematologic/metabolic, neurologic, and hearing loss conditions. The company raised $75 million in financing from Apple Tree Partners, which also provided its initial seed funding. Prior to Limelight Bio, Ehlers was the Head of R&D at Biogen.
