Ilya Golubovich is the founding and managing partner of I2BF Global Ventures, an international venture capital group he established in 2005 that focuses on early-stage technology investments with over $500 million under management. His investment thesis centers on deep tech, commercial space technology, and the global energy transition, targeting early-stage companies globally rather than in a single geography. Golubovich has acted as the lead partner on 21 deals and has directed capital into more than 100 early-stage technology companies since founding his firm. Notable portfolio companies include quantum computing developer D-Wave Systems, satellite data provider Spire Global, and space exploration firm Planetary Resources, which focused on asteroid mining.
