Again, this was right around the time that we were launching the driving safety features and you know, we had a we had a deal ready to go and and then literally on signing day the president of the organization that was supposed to sign left or was fired. I don't exactly remember the details but it meant that our deal was dead and and you know, we didn't necessarily have runway to keep going too too much further and luckily we were able to find another believer to step in and kind of be our series B round and then you know, for our series C round we ended up doing a strategic partnership with ADT the home security company because there there was this vision around how do you think about uh you know, keeping your family safe both at home but when they're away from home and you know, how how's that interplay of automatically arming and disarming the home security system uh look like in the

future with something like Life360 and ADT and and you know, that was another very interesting deal that we worked on and then you know, down the road ADT gets acquired by Apollo and the entire executive team that we're working with was sort of replaced by the the private equity firm all at all at once um and you know, we we realized that kind of we always had to control our own destiny and you know, even manufacture these sorts of deals that allowed us to keep running the company in the in the earlier years. I'll talk about the Tile acquisition cuz it also relates to the new company I'm working on at Hubble. We saw so much opportunity for hardware for families. If you think about smart collars for pets, GPS watches for kids, fall detectors for elderly parents, there was all this opportunity for compelling hardware devices but the devices in market just aren't good enough yet and as a

very consumer focused company, you know, we couldn't offer a sub-par experience to our customers. And that's a big part of the reason that we acquired Tile when we did, cuz it was, you know, best of class hardware out there. But it's also how I became obsessed with kind of solving this problem around how do you provide a global network that I'm now focused on at Hubble. And so yeah, you know, that's kind of how we thought about not only have we been able to acquire a lot of users, but how do we think broader than just the family? How do we expand into more of everyday family life and, you know, be able to add additional avenues to engage and deliver value to our families and, you know, potentially also create additional revenue and premium features to offer to our families as well.
