Constantin Eis is the CEO of CMBlu Energy AG, a company founded in 2014 that develops organic solid flow battery technology called SolidFlow. This non-lithium, long-duration energy storage system is designed for ten hours or more of dispatchable energy, using non-flammable, water-based electrolytes and proprietary solid energy storage materials. The company recently closed an initial Series C funding round of €50 million, bringing its valuation to over €1 billion. This funding will support manufacturing scale-up and early commercial deployments in Europe and the U.S.
