Tobi Knaup co-founded Mesosphere/D2iQ in April 2013, a company that provided an enterprise Kubernetes platform for operating infrastructure at scale. Before D2iQ, Knaup was a Tech Lead at Airbnb until 2013, where he designed search and fraud detection services and architected infrastructure for global scale. D2iQ was acquired by Nutanix in 2023, where he served as General Manager of Cloud Native until 2025. He is now an angel investor and advisor to early-stage startups.
