Um, the kind of AI companies that we're looking for are in the main ones that can really um dominate and go deep uh in a particular vertical. And uh for that, we're looking for founders and management teams that have got the experience, the technical know-how, um and the obsession to really go deep on a particular industry and sector, and within it very deep but slim layers of of challenges and and uh and and uh problem sets. And that is much more likely to happen with a management team and a founder that is very serious about expanding into Asia, expanding into the Middle East, expanding into Africa, uh and taking advantage of of the fact that AI is quite frankly an AI uh arms race, and and and it's a global one. Um So, that's second. And then and then the third is um you know, something that I think doesn't get uh mentioned a lot when it comes to investing in in early-stage companies,
uh but that is uh team and a and a management team uh that is uh you know, for lack of better phrase, really looking to make a a positive impact on uh the world that that AI is going to leave behind. I see that some of the more thoughtful founders are thinking about the repercussions and the impact that AI is going to have on society and uh the economy around them. And um uh that thoughtfulness for me is a proxy of serious people who uh are not just building in a vacuum. Um uh and and will go on to to to build some of the world's biggest companies. Take for example someone like a an an an Elon Musk or or a Brett Adcock, right? When you speak to these people or you hear them, what makes them different is that they are very thoughtful about their businesses as part of a much larger ecosystem of people, commercial activity, laws, regulation. Um and they think deeply about the future of of
of uh human development. And you want to see some light of that uh early on as well.
