Walter Gilbert is a renowned scientist and co-founder of Paratek Pharmaceuticals in 1996, where he served as Chairman until 2014. He was awarded the 1980 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his discovery of a method for rapid DNA sequencing. He also co-founded Biogen in 1978 and Myriad Genetics in 1992. Dr. Gilbert is currently a managing director at BioVentures Investors.
