Grab Ventures is a corporate venture capital firm based in Singapore, founded in 2018 as the innovation and investment arm of Grab Holdings to develop in-house technologies and pursue strategic partnerships. The firm targets early-stage ventures in Southeast Asia, focusing on sectors including AI, payments, mobility, logistics, food tech, and fintech. While there is no publicly set check size, the firm broadly aims to back 8–10 companies aligned with Grab’s business, with financial services being a major focus. Notable portfolio investments include HappyFresh, which received a $20 million Series C investment from Grab Ventures in April 2019, and Nham24, in which Grab Ventures invested via the secondary market in December 2024. Grab Ventures distinguishes itself through its “Velocity” accelerator program, a 16-week boot camp that tests startup services on the Grab platform as a proof of concept. Founder Anthony Tan described the initiative as a “pay it forward” moment, using Grab’s platform as a launchpad to mentor startups and share lessons from Grab’s own mistakes.
