Nipun Mehra co-founded Ula in 2020, a B2B e-commerce platform that aimed to modernize retail supply chains for small businesses in Indonesia. Ula raised over $170M from investors including Sequoia, Lightspeed, Tencent, and Jeff Bezos. Before Ula, Mehra worked at Amazon, was an early team member at Flipkart, and served as an investor at Sequoia India. Ula achieved rapid growth, reaching over $250M in annual revenue, but Mehra ultimately decided to shut down the company and return capital to investors.
