About Torstein Hagen

Torstein Hagen founded Viking Cruises in 1997 with four riverboats in Russia, later expanding to over 70 river cruise ships primarily in Europe, and adding ocean cruises in 2015. Catering to wealthy American retirees, Viking Cruises went public on the New York Stock Exchange in May 2024, raising over $1.5 billion. Hagen previously served as CEO of Royal Viking Line and helped Holland America stave off bankruptcy.
