Rob Johnson is an Operating Partner at G2VP. He previously served as CEO of Vertiv, a Platinum Equity company and a spin-off from Emerson, from 2016. Under his leadership, the 20,000-person company underwent divestitures, acquisitions, and a public offering. Before joining Vertiv, he was an Operating Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers from 2014 to 2016. Johnson founded Systems Enhancement Corporation in 1989, selling it to American Power Conversion (APC) in 1997, where he later became CEO and managed its sale to Schneider Electric for $6.1 billion.
