Alex Zhou is a Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, where he joined in 2014 after previously working at Kleiner Perkins and leading HP’s data storage business in China. He invests primarily in frontier technologies including artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous driving, enterprise software, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing, with a focus on China. His portfolio spans more than 20 listed or unicorn companies, notably Zhipu AI, Biren Technology, UBTech Robotics, and Roborock. Zhou serves as a board director or observer at multiple unicorns such as UBTech Robotics, Megvii (Face++), Unisound, and Tongdun.
