Darryll J. Pines has been the 34th president of the University of Maryland since July 2020. He is also the Glenn L. Martin Professor of Aerospace Engineering and has emphasized achieving excellence and fostering a diverse community at the university. Prior to his presidency, Pines served as dean of the A. James Clark School of Engineering at the University of Maryland.
