Kathy Xu (also known as Xu Xin) is the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of Capital Today, a venture capital firm she established in Shanghai in 2005 after serving as China head at Baring Private Equity Partners Asia. Her investment thesis focuses on long-term value creation in consumer products, e-commerce, and retail relevant to China’s middle-class lifestyle, targeting companies from seed through Series B stages. Capital Today typically deploys checks ranging from $250,000 to $15 million, with Xu often acting as the lead investor on deals, having led 19 transactions to date.
