Benjamin Laga is the CEO and Founder of Protealis, a European company focused on sustainable plant proteins and non-GMO legume seed technologies. He founded the company in 2021 after researchers from ILVO Vlaanderen spun off to launch Protealis to advance local cultivation of pulse crops. Laga has led Protealis through a €6 million Series A round in 2021 and a €22 million Series B round in January 2024, expanding its soybean seed coating technology and variety portfolio.
