Carole Ben-Maimon, MD, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Larimar Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for complex rare diseases. She joined Larimar in December 2016, bringing over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Larimar Therapeutics' lead product candidate, nomlabofusp, is currently in a Phase 2 clinical program for Friedreich’s ataxia. Prior to Larimar, Dr. Ben-Maimon worked with Deerfield Management Company and held leadership roles at Impax Laboratories, Barr Pharmaceuticals, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.
