David Austgen is the CEO of Bioveritas, a company that utilizes a proprietary upcycling process to ferment underutilized plant by-products into clean-label ingredients. This technology, which spun out of Texas A&M, aims to eliminate methane emissions while producing valuable short- and medium-chain fatty acids. In 2021, Ara Partners acquired Bioveritas, and the company subsequently received an additional $65 million in capital from Ara Partners to support its commercialization efforts. Austgen brings 35 years of experience from the energy, chemicals, biofuels, and biochemicals industries to his role at Bioveritas.
