Geoff McDonough is the CEO of Generation Bio, a public gene therapy company focused on treating rare, genetic diseases. He was placed as CEO in late 2019 by Occam Global, an executive search firm, as part of a C-level team build for the company. Prior to Generation Bio, McDonough served as CEO of Swedish biopharmaceutical Sobi and held senior roles at Genzyme.
