Gurdeep Singh is the Chairman & Managing Director of NTPC Limited, a position he has held since 2016. NTPC, initially a "Coal based Power Generating Company", is transforming into a "Sustainable Integrated Energy Company" under his leadership, with initiatives in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and other sustainable practices. Prior to NTPC, he was Managing Director of Gujarat State Electricity Company Limited. He started his career as an Engineer Trainee with NTPC in 1987.
