She was appointed Rite Aid’s president and chief executive officer in August 2019, leading the company through a major brand, merchandise, and technology transformation, debt reduction/refinancing, and the pandemic. Before Rite Aid, Donigan was CEO of Sapphire Digital, an omnichannel platform for healthcare provider selection, and prior to that, CEO of ValueOptions, a behavioral health improvement company. She also held executive roles at Premera Blue Cross, Cigna Healthcare, General Electric, Empire BCBS, and U.S. Healthcare.
