James H. Litinsky is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of MP Materials, a company he has led since its inception in 2017. MP Materials transformed the Mountain Pass site into a cornerstone of America's rare earth supply chain. In 2020, Litinsky took MP Materials public, focusing on rebuilding domestic capabilities for rare earth separation and magnet manufacturing. Before MP Materials, he founded JHL Capital Group, a multibillion-dollar alternative investment firm.
