Julian Broadbent is the co-founder of Applied EV, a Melbourne-based startup established in 2015. Applied EV develops vehicle control systems, referred to as Digital Backbone, for electric vehicles dedicated to autonomous driving. These systems enable vehicles to run entirely on software, simplifying architecture and reducing production costs. The company recently raised $21 million, valuing it at $170 million, with a strategic stake from Suzuki.
