Matthias Aellig, born in 1971 and a Swiss national, is the Group Chief Executive Officer (Group CEO) of the Swiss Life Group since May 16, 2024. He previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer (Group CFO) and a Member of the Corporate Executive Board of the Swiss Life Group from March 2019. Prior to joining Swiss Life, he held positions at McKinsey & Company, Winterthur Group (now AXA), and Zurich Switzerland, specializing in banking, insurance, and risk management.
