Mich Hein is the CEO of Electrochaea, a Munich-based power-to-gas company that develops biomethanation technology to produce renewable methane. This technology creates a replacement for fossil natural gas, stores renewable energy, and reuses CO2. The company announced a €36 million Series D financing round, with an additional €14.9 million equity investment from the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund, to accelerate the scale-up and commercialization of its technology.
