Pratik Shah is a co-founder and Executive Chairman of Design Therapeutics, a biotechnology company developing a new class of therapies for serious degenerative disorders caused by nucleotide repeat expansions. The company launched with a $45 million Series A financing and later secured $125 million in Series B financing. Prior to co-founding Design Therapeutics, he was chairman of Synthorx until its acquisition by Sanofi, and president and CEO of Auspex Pharmaceuticals until its acquisition by Teva in 2015.
