Rob Pomeroy co-founded Horizon Technology Finance Corporation and currently serves as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also co-founded its Advisor in 2003, serving as its Chief Executive Officer and investment committee member until his retirement in June 2025. Horizon Technology Finance provides secured loans to venture capital-backed companies in technology, life science, healthcare information and services, and sustainability industries. Pomeroy has over 40 years of diversified lending and leasing experience, including more than 20 years in venture lending. His prior background includes leadership roles at GATX Ventures, Inc. and Transamerica Business Credit, as well as experience at Science International, Inc. and Crocker Bank.
