Ronald Mittelstaedt is the founder of Waste Connections, an integrated solid waste services company providing non-hazardous waste collection, transfer, and disposal services, as well as resource recovery through recycling and renewable fuels generation. He served as CEO from 1997 to 2019, transitioning to Executive Chairman, and was reappointed President and CEO in April 2023. The company serves over eight million customers across 43 U.S. states and six Canadian provinces.
