Pat Condon is a Partner and Board Director at Active Capital, a San Antonio-based venture firm he co-founded with former Rackspace executive Pat Matthews after serving as co-founder of Rackspace Hosting in 1998. His investment thesis targets early-stage B2B SaaS, AI-native business software, and cloud infrastructure companies, with a geographic focus on technical founders across America, particularly in traditionally underfunded markets like San Antonio. Condon describes Active Capital as “high-conviction pre-seed,” typically writing large checks of $500,000 to $1 million and leading seed rounds into very young companies, often before product or revenue exists.
