Robbie Paul is the CEO of Icehouse Ventures, a New Zealand venture capital firm he joined as an intern in 2008 and led as chief executive after its 2019 launch from the earlier Ice Angels network. He originally moved from North Carolina to New Zealand in 2008 and built his career by working without pay initially, proving his value over 17 years. Icehouse Ventures invests primarily in early-stage New Zealand technology companies across software, deep tech, fintech, clean tech, hardware, medical devices, and gaming, from seed stage to global expansion. The firm invests about $100 million annually into 30 to 40 new startups and has backed over 350 companies with more than $530 million total invested.
