About Alvaro Castillo

Álvaro del Castillo founded Taptap in March 2010, initially bootstrapping the company and later raising a Series A round from Nauta Capital. Taptap Digital is a global area-based omnichannel marketing platform that helps brands understand and reach their ideal customers using location intelligence. In 2021, he sold a majority stake to London-based private equity fund BD Capital, remaining the sole minority shareholder. He transitioned from CEO to non-executive President after 16 years.
