Kevin J. Tracey is the president and CEO of the Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research and executive vice president for research at Northwell Health. A neurosurgeon and physician-scientist, Dr. Tracey discovered the inflammatory reflex, a neural circuit by which the vagus nerve regulates immune responses and inflammation. He is an inventor on more than 120 United States patents and author of more than 400 scientific publications.
