Marcelo Benitez is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Millicom, a telecommunications and technology company operating under the brand Tigo, primarily in Latin America. He began his career with Millicom in 1997 as a customer service representative in Paraguay and has since held various pivotal roles across Latin America and Africa. Before becoming CEO on June 1, 2024, Benitez was the Vice President for the Central America Region and General Manager of Tigo El Salvador, among other positions.
